Chronicle Communications Announces -Market Maker Plus-

A Magazine Featuring Publicly Traded, Emerging Growth Companies

CAIRO, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 29, 1999-- Chronicle Communications Inc.(OTCBB:CRNC - news), CEO, John V. Whitman Jr., announced today
that it is launching a magazine called Market Maker Plus.

This dynamic new publication will profile emerging growth, publicly traded companies. Market Maker Plus is going to be distributed free to every retail brokerage
office in the United States and to top producing individual brokers nationally. Larger NASD firms will receive numerous free copies. Market Maker Plus will also
be available to the general public via the Internet and on newsstands. The new magazine will be distributed six times per year. Individual subscriptions may be
obtained for $39.00 per year US and $69.00 per year foreign. Market Plus is being designed and printed at Chronicle's United Printing and Publishing Inc.,
subsidiary located in Tampa, Fla.

There are over 5,500 NASD member firms. These member firms have more than 70,546 branch offices that employ over 591,000 registered representatives.
Market Maker Plus is strategically designed to capture the attention of the brokerage community. A minimum of six companies each issue will compensate
Chronicle to have their publicly traded company profiled in Market Maker Plus. Special non-paid editorials covering market trends, hot Internet stocks and stories
of interest will appear in Market Maker Plus. Emerging growth companies need to get their story out to people who can generate enthusiasm and retail buying in
their stock. Market Maker Plus represents the most cost effective method for young, fully reporting, emerging companies to get their story disseminated.

Market Maker Plus will make its debut beginning with the March/April '99 issue. Over 150,000 copies of Market Maker Plus will hit the mail on Feb. 23, 1999.
Market Maker Plus will compete with publications like Money World and Market Pulse magazine. Market Maker Plus will reach a very targeted audience and
offer highly competitive advertising rates and payment terms. Companies interested in advertising or having their company profiled should contact:
Northeastern/West Coast Sales contact Randy Barrow, 301-468-7001, fax at 301-468-7005, Southeastern/Central Sales contact Richard Nicholson at
813-248-0100, fax at 813-247-2133.
