MD Bryant,"I've come to realize Critical Mass is the king." To have so call Critical Mass a company has to meat the following criteria: a) have sufficient human power-NN has 6000 employee and 1.2 bil USD in revenue, compare to 2500, 1.2 bil USD at ASND or 4000, 1.7 bil USD at TLAB, and higher % of scientists
b) cash, NN has lots of cash and more to come (affiliates)
c) outstenting products- no doubts in NN case.Products which are designed ahead of compentition.
In addition to that, Siemens with 18 bil $ in revenue from telecom business and 10 bil$ in information and telecom related ( siemens as of the end of 1998 had 60 bil in revenue) alliance has lots of Critical Mass.By the end of 1999 Siemens will spin-off 17 bil$ of industrial units, get lots of cash and starting 01/2000 will be listed on NYSE. By the and of 2000 everything is possible. At that time NN will have 700 mil $ US quarterly revenue and much higher market value. It may go alone or join Siemens.
As far as contract, NN at present can only afford to announce the contract, when shipment starts. In such case, inpatient Street do not have to wait 2-3 Q for results!!! |
