Nah, Programmers Paradise is a cool name. When you call in and talk with an executive or someone, they say, "Welcome to paradise." The first time I heard that, well, it stopped me. You remember it.

Plus, that do have a great brand name following amongst their loyal customer base. They set out to create a haven for programmers, their core customers, and that's what they've done. Did you like it when Macafee changed their name to Network Associates? Hello! What a boring, non-descript name: Network Associates. Sheesh.

When Yahoo! was first launched, frankly, I thought the name was ultra geek. It's cool to be non corporate, but Yahoo!? The name Excite, also doesn't paint a picture of what they do.

Yahoo! is only a cool name now because the stock has sky rocketed. If PROG hits $40.00 this year, trust me, you'll love hearing them say, "Welcome to Paradise."
