The impossibility of that ideal is where the problem lies. I have made good money by people pumping stocks (which is how many stocks are brought to my attention). Take, for example, CGCOC today. I first learned of it when the ask was above $1.60. It then dropped to $1.20 and reached up to $1.70 afterwards. That's over 40% gain, if timed correctly. Of course, when people pump stocks (aka share information on a stock) they are already in it, but that's the name of the game. The key for the individual investor is to keep his/her finger on the pulse of the stock and market to determine if it still has potential.
How about a revised suggestion: let's share stocks with event-driven motivation to invest in them (ie a PR to come this week, a site to be launched, etc.)
