Ausdauer -
If we spin off a thread (or join an existing one) to share stock tips, I would hope it could be substantive. I hate the posts seen on so many boards, which read like "hey, gang, check out XXYZ, looks good", and that's it.
Way back when, before the Motley Fool became too big for its own good, their gurus posted a series of "valentine's day" essays during the Valentine's day week. The premise was that these were stocks that the authors were in love with, and the authors gave reasons -- many reasons -- as to why. I remember printing them all out, reading them closely, choosing a few that particularly tickled my fancy, doing some research on my own, and then buying maybe 2 or 3. With those, I made a few dollars.
It would be nice to see a board where there was almost a template: if you couldn't fill in fundamentals and reasons, you couldn't post the tout. From that, we all might be able to find some gems, and would at least have a basic understanding before we went hunting down a symbol.
If such a board commences/exists, let me know, and count me in.
