But there has been and still is ONE critical element...the consumer.

IF Consumer accepts the offer of conveince....you will most likely win like the Portals, E-Tailers, Security or E-Whatever, and win very, very, big....IF Consumer doesn't...can't get any worse then it is right now Long-Term.

That is the main thought I've carried to hold onto a core position in this Company through thick'n'thin.

And it is getting easier for consumers to accept these offers of convenience. A few years ago when I looked at e-payments, I really only had one front-end choice and it wasn't worth all the trouble. But now I have 2 or 3 front-end choices (all of which are powered by CheckFree) and it has become writing checks that isn't worth the trouble. Soon I expect to have similar convenience available on the billing side also.

The deployment of new technologies, such as broadband services, are going to enable companies to develop new approaches to overcome this convenience threshold for ever larger groups of consumers.

So at least from this newcomer's perspective I think your on target with your thoughts on the appeal of CheckFree.
