I think it's fascinating that on the same day that YHOO buys Geo Cities, whose value is debated in this article and many other posts today, that on that very same day, Ford buys Volvo. Volvo: one of the great brands in the world. Purchased for $6.5 billion. GeoCities: a fledgling website designer with mere 000s of employees, negative cash flow, a mere trickle of revenue, but an exemplar of the New Paradigm (oh, how I hate that word), sells on the same day for roughly 60% of what Ford pays for YHOO...

I LOVE the virtual economy: no revenue, no profits, no inventory, no nothing! Just a seemingly endless supply of money flowing like water. It's a wonderful life, Tim Koogle....

Remember well this day: the day GeoCities and Volvo were both bought. Which company would YOU rather own, bulls?
