I heard it was "homecoming" week over on the SI board so I thought I would make an appearance. I am doing a Countdown to Earnings over on the THQ motley fool board. Only 26 days to go (17 trading days taking into account President's day)until THQ reports their best quarter ever in the history of the company. I won't tell you what I am expecting with regard to Revenues and Earnings but let's just say it is somewhat higher than the analyst consensus of $76 million and $0.69. Hah, what a joke. I also then expect once THQ reports the real numbers, the analysts will be scrambling to upgrade their estimates for 1999, starting with 1Q 1999 with which they obviously didn't take into account 3 million playstations sold in just December and WCW Thunder remaining at the top spot for the first two weeks of January. Also Rugrats reorders, Penny Racers, and possibly WCW Nitro for N64. Lastly, a full quarter's worth of international sales from THQ's recent acquisition of Rushware in Germany with their exclusive Star Wars games distribution agreement..well let's just say $24 7/8 for THQ is way way way too low. THQ also had the best selling 3rd party Nintendo game for 1998 in case any of you didn't notice. Anyway glad to be back and glad to see Todd again, seems like the old days! Go THQ!
