AML Communications Inc. announces new broadband
PCS repeater

CAMARILLO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 1997-- AML Communications Inc
Monday announced it has been granted FCC "type acceptance" on its new broadband PCS 600
repeater.

Production and initial deliveries of this product are expected to commence this quarter.

The PCS 600 repeater is designed to "relay" signals to and from difficult coverage areas, such as
buildings, tunnels and valleys, without having to install additional base stations in such areas. The
product is compatible with all modes of PCS transmission technologies, including GSM, TDMA
and CDMA.

Jacob Inbar, chairman and chief executive officer of AML Communications, commented on the
FCC approval, saying: "We are very pleased on achieving yet another milestone for the company
-- our first repeater available to the PCS market. In the near term, we also expect to apply for
FCC approval on our PCS1900-1 channelized PCS repeater. Industry analysts are optimistic
about the future of PCS, and we see many opportunities for AML Communications in this
market."
