Assuming both Rational Software and Egghead are traditional software retailing outlets, one may be interesting to explore more about TLC's distributing channels. TLC tends to sell through school sales, direct sales, the internet store and even grocery stores. The difficulty in accounting on these types of sales channels caused a lot of uneasiness in the financial market. On the other hand, if Egghead is looking for other ways to distribute its procducts, one may argue that TLC is already leading in this sence. Of course, the overall softness of the software market will not benefit TLC's business.
