Hi Allen, Forgeting the stock prices for a moment. I have had an external Zip drive for 2 years without any troubles and I'm impressed with the response of that little drive. I puchased another machine (Compaq) last month, and it was a great deal,, You know printer/monitor and all the bells and whisles included. It happen to have an Imation drive as part of the package. So I thought, okay so I'll have two way's to backup/move data. Well, so far the Super Disk drive has not impressed me at all. I have had problems with reading some of my 1.44 megabyte disk. The machine bombed out when I tried to use the guest mode for my Zip. You know inorder to use the guest mode you need to install your 3.5 disk that came with the Zip drive. At first I thought it was some kind of block for the IOM product in the Imatiom drive, but I have had other related problems with other 3.5 diskettes. Well, so far thumbs down on this so called SUPER DISK DRIVE.
