There is a somewhat valid theory that the market will move in such a fashion the the most money goes to the fewest people.

So, believing this to be so, one should always expect the unexpected. That is to say, if it is patently obvious that the market will move higher because of this or that then you should be on guard for the reverse to occur....at least briefly.

If you do nothing but watch for a few days ... not even thinking about what the market should or should not do you will probably start to "see" where whips occur that in hindsight seem obvious.

One great example was a recent FOMC meeting. The spoo was around 1139 not going anywhere, AG cut rates, the spoo dropped around 5 points stopping out the weak Longs then ran from the 33, 34 area up to 49 or so stopping out the Shorts. Now if you are trading it you walk away thinking "Wha da %@#&!?!?!" or kicking yourself for getting scared out or having your stop targeted or whatever. But if you just watch it and consider it objectively it's obvious that the pits were just shaking the tree, dropping people off, and then taking the market in the logical direction.....in that case up. But the fewest people benefited even though it is patently obvious that the market will move higher because of this or that.

"Film at Eleven" was a reference to your remark about posting more later. Years ago, you might be watching a news program where they would tell you something like "Duck Flying Upside-Down Quacks Up....film at eleven".
