zp Six months ago I had nothing..now I have a lot of options and do not know which ones will pan out the best. My comfort level has improved substantially. I am striving to be able to make that statement in 6 months. Then the next six months will hopefully be a survival of the fittest period. One advantage to the CDROM is it removes the backup from the system as part of the process. A disadvantage is the 650 MB file size limitation..it will probably span disks but who wants a half dozen disks for one drive image? Sounds familiar...I've held off buying a tape device for his machine in hopes of a qualified contender surfacing. Your summary of cdrom backups also leaves me with a 'there must be a better way' feeling. I'd like to see how the Terastor product launches before I pull the trigger on an end game backup device. I will probably add a third harddrive in a removable tray. AS a backup destination?
