bbruin, good post...
I remember you from JAWS thread way back when I used to play pennies.
Anthony is not a messiah, and Anthony can be wrong. Also, unlike many people on SI Anthony can sit out a big loss and reshort at much higher levels.
Many people on SI are relatively new investors and/or don't have $500,000 portfolios. If they have say 6 or 8 positions, and one of their positions (say a short on IMON at 7, that goes to 15).. at some point their broker is going to call them and say "ummm you just lost 100% on this position, we are going to have to call you in for some $$$$" Money, *some people* (yes believe it or not, not everyone on SI has a million dollars) do not have. SO if your Anthony, this type of shorting works... you can cover if it goes up and reshort higher, but for the average shorter it doesnt make much sense. This will probably be a great short late Tuesday or Wednesday but Monday or Tuesday AM it just doesnt make sense for the "common man" shorter. For the "deep pocket, I was a MM for 6 years and have so much money because I scalped 1/4 off every trade from you weenies, and laughed to the bank" trader, than its fine.
Hell if this goes to $30 on hype after a Tuesday gap up or something crazy like a CEO apperance on CNBC, I will be the first to short it myself... but not before all these PR announcements...
