Your analysis of Novell options is very accurate IF the options you are investing in are "out of the money" options.

The value in Novell options, during the past year at least, comes with an investment in "in the money calls". My experience, and profits, have come with LEAPS from an "in the money" starting point.

Bernie is rolling the dice by buying LEAPS at the money. Thiswould appear to be a very bullish option play by a verey sophisticated options player.

As a long holder of Novell stock (10K plus shares) and an occasional participant in the options markets I find Bernie's mindset very comforting.
