That's central to what they do. Ampex left the DCT market, probably somewhat prematurely, for the sound reason that they saw no point, for now, in competing with giants ( Sony and Panasonic) in a relatively small market. They did not leave for any lack of technological wherewithal.They have now entered a milieu where they can again begin to show their stuff.
