Actually, as I have said before, a number of liberals despise Clinton even more than I. And I am sure that quite a few disapprove of his reckless and caddish behavior. But Mario Cuomo made it quite clear on "Geraldo" a few months ago--- liberals are prepared to put all of that aside, and defend Clinton tooth and nail, not because of prosecutorial zeal, but because they are afraid of conservative Republicans, and concerned for the future of the Democratic Party. As I have pointed out before, whether or not one approves of the Special Prosecutors tactics, they are not outside of professional norms, or he would have been sacked by Reno or sanctioned by Holloway. I will give you this, though, most Americans do not like to watch sausage being made, and it has played into the hands of the White House spin machine.
