>> The article concludes by stating.."these are perilous times for biotechs dependent on the
capital markets to finance efforts." $90 billion dollars has been put into public biotechs
since 1980 and the investors are getting "antsy". <<

First, the industry is not the same as that from 1992. Second, most of the public followed terribly ignorant advisors into issues like LIPO. Third, the companies that have kept their business plans on track and have yet shown flexibility are thriving, and investors in those companies have been paid in spades.

More importantly, those who are currently spreading the dogma are the same individuals who have brought you the ignorance of the past.........

Look, I'm going to say this point blank, and there's no way that I can say it without sounding like a braggart..... find the threads at SI where I have beaten on the table in a positive tone. Then narrow the list to those threads where I have not turned negative before bad news. You will find a remarkable frequency of winners and very few losers. Next, find the threads where I have recommended caution or been outright negative. You will find, perhaps without exception, companies that have either failed or failed to thrive. That's bragging, but there are several others at SI that could say the same, and the point is clear..... one does not need to follow the jerks that have led the sector to mediocre performance
