Nnnnggghhhh. Bad guess. You ARE the setup. That setup
is for a working dos system and makes the autoexec.bat
and config .sys entries. It will probably not work on
the floppy, and anyhow you are making the config.sys entries
yourself.

I would have SBIDE.SYS on the floppy. That doesn't do anything
but take up a few kb. Its the LOAD command in config.sys
that activates the driver (that and it's reference in
MSCDEX.EXE).

The other stuff is irrelevant to what you want. I thought
possibly tosh.exe might be a utility of some kind that would
test something or reveal something, but come to think of
it for an IDE cd that's unlikely (SCSI is another story).

PS. I did sleep late this morning -- all the way to 8:30.
Late for me. I was sitting here at 8:35. Gotta stop that ...
