GLOBE & MAIL REPORTS VNE/CITIBANK/INEX DEAL

Bulletin # JAN99-20

ONCE YOU'VE READ THE HEADLINES, COME TO AGORA FOR THE NEWS

Good afternoon to you all. The Saturday edition of The Globe & Mail (page B9) has reported that Valu-net (VNE.ASE) Citibank and Inex Corp. will announce an E-Commerce deal in their national press conference this Wednesday.

Though we can not speculate any further, it goes without saying that a global
E-Commerce alliance with one of the largest banks in the world now puts Valu-net into the upper levels of Canadian and International E-Commerce companies.

Given the fact The Globe & Mail named Valu-net "one of Canada's most promising E-Commerce companies" in the summer of 1998, only adds more credibility to the progress of Valu-net.

Valu-net closed the week at $2.65, up .60 on 1.3 Million shares. In light of The Globe & Mail report, we would expect continued large volume activity in VNE on Monday.

AGORA also wishes to advise it's readers that we will be present at the
Valu-net/Citibank/Inex national press conference on Wednesday and will be filing a report shortly thereafter.

With respect to The AGORA Portfolio, we are pleased to report that we hold positions in VNE at $1.00, $1.10, $1.25 and $2.15. In light of this latest advance in the value of VNE stock, our portfolio wil now be able to improve on it's current 73.2% successful track record from Dec 1, 1997 to the present.

We will be updating the portfolio shortly, due to our recent success on positions in America Online (AOL), Netscape Communications and Xoom.com. We are especially pleased with the fact our portfolio is able to capitalize on quality companies both large and small. In the meantime, to view The AGORA Portfolio, we have provided the following link.

That is all for now. Have a great weekend.

Regards,
AGORA
