It has already been known for some time that Viagra use in non impotent men can indeed lead to impotence. There also is the rare event of priapism which can create impotence but this holds true for also for MUSE and especially injections. I think that Pfizer was seeing a lot more of this than expected because of the number of non-impotent men who were taking Viagra merely as an erection enhanser eg the 55 year old man with the 30 year old wife/girl friend.

I think that the message being sent is that using Viagra if you are not impotent can eventually create impotence. Perhaps as this information permeates the media recreational users will cease their Viagra use for fear of really becoming impotent.
