Well Scottey this is my understanding of the process. The exchange should happen for you automatically if your shares are held by your brokerage. You shouldn't have to do a thing, unless you are actually holding the certs, then you would need to physically exchange them in order to have the current certs. Not exchanging them makes selling just a little more complicated I think, but not much other than just the delay in getting them exchanged.

But I think that all that you should see happen in your account is that one day they are Purewater - PRWT and the next day they are PanAm Bancorp - PRWT, with a new CUSIP #. Presumably the share count wouldn't change, though if there is a stock dividend or reverse split, this could be accomplished at the same time and the share count could change. I believe that if they choose to change the symbol it doesn't really matter when that is accomplished. So they wouldn't necessarily have to do that at that time.

I am unaware of any particular site that would have this fully explained, though if there were I would hope that someone might publish it.
