Attention all Yahoo! stock owners:

You guys are looking like geniuses to me right now. To think that I considered purchasing Yahoo! at $30 per share, but dismissed the stock as overvalued.

Yahoo!'s management has just made a very Microsoftesque move. Everyone check out this site: auctions.yahoo.com . What they've done is essentially attacked E-Bay's market head on. Yahoo!'s advantage is that their auction site is completely free to use, whereas E-Bay charges sellers an insertion fee and a back-end commission on the sale.

It certainly looks as if E-Bay is shit out of luck unless they immediately start offering their service free and start charging for advertising instead, a la Yahoo! business model.

Anyway, good luck to you Yahoo! stockholders. Here's wishing I was you and thanking God I am not an E-Bay stockholder. Although, as of Monday I may be an E-Bay stock shorter if I can get ahold of some shares to short!
