I disagree. The brain is too complex, life is too complex, existence is too complex, to be totally rational all the time. Not possible. Our neocortex is only the outer wrapper of a very complicated brain. Did you know that women who were sexually abused as children literally have a difference in their hypothalamus as a result? So do people who experienced trauma severe enough to cause post-traumatic stress disorder. People with lesions on their brain can have amazing beliefs, for example, that parts of their bodies belong to someone else. Autistic children, idiot savants, and so forth. We are capable of an incredible spectrum of thought, not just upper brain rationalism.

I suspect you are merely trying to get Bob's goat.
