>> Celeron 366 and 400...
I have read ABOUT people checking these out but have read nothing but sketchy results and have no info on stability. Sounds promising, though. Still, for me, I am basically not an overclocker and am in the game for a special situation. Others may have more to say. Dan's a good candidate -- seems like he's building a new system every other day, in between reloads of SP4 ... <G>. (Sorry, Dan, a cheap shot I admit, but highly satisfactory nevertheless <gg>.)
>>Also, I'm wondering if the BH6 supports the 366 as is w/ existing BIOS
THIS is an easy one; even I can answer. Nope, different socket. 366/400 are "Socket 370", not a place to plug in an ageing mainframe but rather a socket with 370 pinholes. Check out the BM6, ABIT's brand new socket 370 offering.
Now that I've said that, there may be a slot 1 (BH6) version of one or both of these. Something sticks in my head but I can't extract it at the moment. Anyhow, word has it Intel wants to kill the slot 1 celeron, which makes sense since the sucker's all on the die anyway, so I think the word is pretty good. |
