Intuition may be nothing more than sped up subliminal thought where the human brain takes shortcuts and acts, as you will, like a biochemical version of a "supercomputer", assimilating facts and presenting an answer so fast the conscious mind is not even aware of the entire process.

Mysticism tries to replace cognitive thought with a "higher" knowledge coming from some unidentifiable realm that cannot be defined or objectively tapped into. It is a never-never land in which the mystics can create their own "realities" that have nothing to do with the reality of the space-time continuum we are attempting to survive in.
