Bluejeans... I used to set physical stop losses. Can't do a loss-limit at Waterhouse over the net. But seemed the mm's would always drop to snatch it up, so I learned real quick to use mental stops. The best I've learned how to work with the slow internet-based systems, is I have my live quote feed open & watching, with my limit-sell order ready, and my trigger finger on the confirm button. From the time I hit it, usually takes about 30-45 seconds till I see it go through on the quote screen. That's IF the system is working good and there are no problems.

I've gotten to where I'll watch a stock first for the buy-sell pattern for a couple of minutes first. Gives me a good idea which way it will go. That's seemed to have helped me a lot lately on not picking ones that drop right after I buy.
