I've owned Cohu for two years and I'm trying to decide whether to sell at this juncture or not. Here's my thinking:

For the last ten years Cohu has grown sales at 23.1% per year and EPS at 29.7% a year (there were lots of great years early!). They hit $2.93 EPS for 1997 and have fallen off that pace over the last year. If I assume they average a growth in both going forward of 15%, a conservative number, then I come to an EPS high of $5.90 at the end of 2003. Does this sound possible?

If it is, then these numbers become interesting:
Cohu's average high and low PE's are 14.7 and 6.1 respectively, which would yield a projected high price of $87 and a low price of $11.40. This seems reasonable, probably low to me.

So, in my humble opinion, Cohu is a buy till around $37 and a sell beyond $62. Does this sound about right to you?

Till later,

E

PS. I use the NAIC software and investment methodology btw.
