Mad2:
Indeed, if this product does not sell, this stock will crash fast.
If this stock does not work, but sells, it will fail in a year because of loss of repeat and/or referral business.
If the product works and people keep buying it, then a lot of the wild projections for income from it are probably not too far off.
I agree that a good dose of healthy skepticism will keep one from losing money in the stock market. I think a careful read of the company press releases does indeed demonstrate that they are not hypesters, they are not looking to P&D their stock and neither is the brokerage that reiterated the SAME pre-Zicam price target following the press releases by Gel Tech and GUMM. If anything, all those involved in production of this so far are softpeddling it.
Thank you for your civil discourse and we can place a good portion of our disagreement in the category of "different investment styles". While you may see this as a high risk investment, I personally see this as a low risk but speculative investment with a high upside based on a new product that will indeed have to prove itself. As an investor, I choose to take some risks in some stocks and take fewer risks in others. People need to be realistic about what is truly risk capital. People who afraid to take risks should invest in the highest interest tax-free bonds they can find. Everything else has risk - even index funds. I am sure you know this.
I do not like short sellers trying to scare people into selling for a loss. While legal, it is very misleading and is in my opinion, stealing. You may or may not be shortselling, I do not know, but I appreciate the opportunity to discuss the issues with someone who keeps his questions about the companies impersonal, which you have. And I wish you best of luck, Mad2. |
