I trade every day, and make a good living at it. But it is hard work..no joyride. Lots of research pre-market and after-market online....TA, charts, chat rooms..SI...Magazines, etc. Lots of sources of information. Do both day trading and position trading. I would never talk to a reporter. The media, by their nature, don't do well with issues of subtlety and complexity. A book maybe, but never standard news media. I know whereof I speak. I used to be in the media. Speaking of risk, I consider holding a stock three hours or less..much less risky than holding anything overnight. Regards, Ron
