A friend once said never short a good company. Never stand in front of a freight train and never fight momentum. The short interest alone is enough to keep the stock going up. The reality is that E trade is the innovative leader has lots of strong technical financial and banking support. The wave of future stock innovations has decidedly shifted to on line brokerage, the numbers speek for themselves. The EGRP is spening the money to upgrage capacity as the demand rises. During these times of exponential growth in money inflows and trades it is hard to stay ahead of the curve. If you believe in E commerce, and it is hard to deny its growth record, investing in the leader in a segment has been the smart play. While the future of EGRP is bright this like all .com type stocks will be volatile. The question is what will EGRP look like in 1-2 years. Will it be a broker/ banker/ tax accountant/ home financier/ insurance sales/ etc/ etc. With the increase name recognition and hits the ability to divsify the E commerce services provided and much reduced cost compared to traditional models becomes more important. Gil you can wait for the pull back like you have been while the stock continues to soar. Short it like you suggested before the last 20 points were added or rethink your stance.
