I think it depends purely on one's style. I use Level II for daytrades, and DLJ Direct for position trades..and am often aggravated at both..for various reasons (i.e. servers down..slow confirms etc)
But I can't say as I make more money using one than the other. I like Level II (MB Trade) for all the real time info it gives me about a stocks movement..especially stochastics on a minute by minute tick chart. So I often use the Level II info..to make a trade on DLJ.
