Maybe I am just a dirty-minded old cow, but I think that the Wife of Bath and Molly Bloom's soliloquoy are prurient, intentionally, intended to arouse the carnal impulse. I mean, you can't deny that the writings were intended to celebrate the carnal impulse, and once you start thinking about it, you want to do it.
