I agree with you that psft mgmt is above board and I really doubt there is any trickery going on specifically designed to artificially inflate the stock. That said, the "reassuring" cc last fall was really stupid. I dont believe for a minute that those guys didnt know the mkt was softening. They were probably in denial or something but they should have just kept quiet until they could gauge the mkt.
