Please explain shorting to me.... I realize that one is buying stock in hopes that it will go down in price.Lets say that XYZ is at 10 and I short the stock.The stock goes to 9.Do I get the profit on the amount of shares I shorted and the amount of the drop?Do I now own shares of the stock at a price of 9?Any help is most appreciatiated.
