A short footnote here on the Book by Graham and Dodd mentioned above. For those of you who want an alternative instead of trying to tackle this fine, but not easy book, there is another book (i.e. comparable to the "dummies" series: Benjamin Graham for Dummies.. It is called "Value Investing Made Easy" by Janet Lowe. She is an expert on Benjamin Graham. Her book presents the methods developed by Graham and its excellent and short. Of course its not as comprehensive as the original but I find it extremely useful. I also read and refer to a book on Fundamental Analysis (Richie) Called Fundamental Analysis and a nice short book by the Motley Fool: The Motley Fool Investment Guide. I have guests now but in the evening I will put on the website a half dozen potential earnings plays to add to the ones in the last newsletter. They will either be on the watch list or in an addendum to the newsletter.
