bodie: Regards IPO timing, the SEC has 30 days to respond to an initial filing. They almost always take the full 30 days before sending comments back to the company. The company then responds to the comments, either defending their positions or making the changes requested by the SEC, and refiles an amended document. The SEC processes and responds to the amended document much more quickly than the original filing. Depending on the complexity of the deal, it is not unusual for a company to file three or four amendments. If NetRadio were to file on Monday, we are probably still at least two months (several lifetimes) away from the actual IPO.
