JAC--we had a similar conversation under a year ago, if you recall. I actually mentioned the ASDL in SI Post 4809 when I said:

"As for the technology? I still believe that cable-modem speed, or perhaps the new ASDL technology I've been hearing noise about, will suffice to get the online movie advertising industry off the ground. No one can expect it to be perfect in the early going. But then again, we already know this."

It'd seem this debate, nearly a year later, has matured a bit. For perspective, here are some of the early comments on the technology. Interestingly and amazingly, the in-between posts are completely littered with Jon Tara requests that the multitudes stop "personally attack[ing]" him (Oh, well.) and two people complaining that he got them suspended (did you get me suspended, Jon?).
