How are you using your 17 gig drive? FAT 32 in a Win98 system..that is fighting me (not the drive). My plan is to go with the OS and all associated programs in one partition. I do not know which OS yet. Since my wife discovered the net (last week) she has been pushing me to get this new machine going<g> She overclocks( the machine) at 2.05 volts. I have been running a slide show with pictures every two seconds. At 2.0 volts the slide show locked up. What is really getting to me is the video drivers. The problem occurred even before I loaded the ATI drivers. If I change a video setting that requires the obligatory boot the machine boots to a windows protection error..can not write to ebios?? I can get to the safe mode selection screen with f8 but I can not go into safe mode..same win protection error. From the safemode selection screen I choose confirm each entry. In the process I say no to everything and in the end I have a C prompt. I then turn off the machine and turn it on again and it boots properly. The video settings I chose are also in effect!! I am lost without my second drive. I guess I will have to pick up another 17 gig<g>. Then I can try the system in Win95 and perhaps NT. I wanted to try Win98 so I could use one of my many video cards..the wife is tired of looking at them in the hallway. Buycomp has not responded to my email. Customer service instructed me to email returns. Maybe returns is busy attending to someone else's problems. Zeuspaul
