I wouldn't worry too much about air circulation between your CD-Roms, especially if you don't use them all the time and have a decently well-ventilated case. What case are you using, BTW?

The Super Micro 750A. I like it except for the cage nuts that are difficult to remove. It does not have a removable mainboard tray like my Antec. It does have a lot of easy to use fan mounting brackets. The machine sounds a bit like a bee hive. I have twelve fans including the power supply fan.

The back of the motherboard mount (can not do it on Antec as the frame moves) provided a nice location for connecting the fan wires. So far I have a neat wiring job.

I am short drive mounts. I have not been able to find a source for internal 3 1/2 harddrive mounts. There is room for two drives in the provided internal mount..but as Sean indicated and I agree the drives would touch each other. I want air flow between my harddrives.

I think I will take another look at the PC Power and cooling cases and the California PC cases as they have a lot more full size mounting bays.

Maybe I will put in a 6.4 gig drive and a removable frame and give this machine to my son..next in line after the wife for net access. All of a sudden everyone wants to surf.

He would get a one drive system but I would be able to service the machine through with the removable harddrive.

I need more drive bays.
