Hmmmm . . . now that you have clarified your position on the freedoms promised by the early Americans, I simply disagree. In fact, I believe Americans have too many rights, not too few. I think the western European countries with parliamentary systems have it better, especially in their realization that the environment must be protected, and that individuals walking around with handguns and Uzis is absolutely necessary, and actually takes freedoms away instead of granting them. These countries realize in a way that Americans do not that every generation of children must be nurtured, that poverty is a cancer on the social fabric, etc.
