I have a very basic question: Why doesn't dell offer colored boxes? I am obviously aware that any diversion from the tried-and-true beige (which is truly, hideously ugly, in this humble designer's opinion)would result in some short-term cost increases. But how hard could it be to ramp up three or four colors? Imagine getting the following choices for your box: Cappuccino Teal Rust Loden green Slate Classic navy Is there anyone at all who doubts that sales would explode? Especially in light of first-time buyers. Seasoned vets like most SI users probably don't care too much, but I can assure you that youngsters and nontechies find the idea enormously appealing. Do we have a pipeline directly into Dell mgmt? I think that Dell could move extremely quickly on this, and start a wonderful trend. Dammit, I want a burnt sienna Dell!
