I use stochastics to help me visualize the short term movement of a stock. When you are watching half a dozen at a time in a fast market, they can make a difference on the chart. I use a fairly standard setting:
%K 5
%D 5
on both the %D and %D slow stochastics...
Be glad to hear from anyone else on their stochs settings and their rationale.
