Well it looks like Barrick has the advantage of time - no bid competition. None likely either. The shareholders presently look willing to wait and see further info, Lundin appears to have raised some money and the property will get drilled some more.

Barrick just waits. Results may be not so good or the big boards may crack and sentiment goes to fear. Then Barrick will get ARP close to its number. If it goes the other way, then Barrick will have to pay a bit more. Either way, it looks like Barrick can let this drag out for a very long time to better find the optimal buy.

Concerning other land of arp. For the last 2 years the market has given little value to speculative exploration potentials. That effect still applies to a large degree here.
