Lay off the ignorant bull, OK? The constant demeaning of people on this thread, on both sides, needs to stop. No one benefits except the warped egos of a few dedicated name callers.
Actually, J.G., the ignorant bull and people-demeaning is great entertainment, and as an added bonus, it will help Jesus separate the meek from the un-meek when he returns on Jan. 1, 2001 to give the meek ones their inheritance. (Which would be the Earth, according to the Beatitudes. Elsewhere in the Bible, it says the un-meek had better repent and change their ways.)
That's my millenial prediction, and I've put it to music (to the tune of Santa Claus is Coming to Town):
"So you better not pout, you better not cry, you better not shout or vote Republican. Why? 'Cause, Jesus Christ is coming to town and boy is he pissed at the Christian Coalition!"
OK, I admit, the rhythm is a bit off there at the end, but it's really hard to rhyme anything with "coalition". I must have been channeling the restless spirit of David Koresh, who died a short two-hour drive from here. (BTW, I think the Feds should have gone in firing on the Branch Davidians on Siege Day #2 and saved us all a few million tax dollars. The end result would have been the same. How's that for fiscal conservatism?)
