It might qualify as nothing better than sheer speculation and it might not strike you as anything but mere cheerleading, but how about re-reading my post # 7290 and this time add in speculation concerning NOVARTIS and DuPONT. These are all guesses but they fit just as neatly in to JT's announcement as does the gloom & doom theory that nobody loves us.
We are still the prettiest girl at the dance, why:
1.) We control 45% of a burgeoning industry;
2. ) We control distribution of products in 34 different market areas;
3.) We have research in place which will take our competitors years to duplicate and therefore it is most economically feasible for them to buy us out rather than attempt to replicate it;
4.) JT did not say that he had suspended buy-out considerations, he said equity partner. What is not precluded by his announcement is the possibility that at any moment, he might announce that we have just been bought out;
5.) JT has on more than one occasion called our short colleagues, "scumbags" which leads this poster to believe that there is still no love lost for them for what they have done to interrupt his sleep and he would not hesitate to initiate the much spoken about short squeeze;
6.) As shareholders themselves, JT & JF have much to gain and little to lose by being bought out. As prime-movers in this development, they are almost assured significant positions in the emerging company as well as significant profit from the redemption of their ABTX holdings-a genuine WIN-WIN situation;
7.) A buyout would immediately put the existing lawsuits and their anticipated progeny to bed since it would serve to put away any argument that the stockholders were in any way misled since JT had completely fulfilled the announcement which he made on 10/8/98, mo matter what construction was chosen to be put upon it;
8.) Monica Lewinsky- there is no apparent reason for her inclusion in this list, however since she seems to be blamed for all else that is wrong in this world, I thought I should conclude this list with her name under the possible chance that on one of her trips to D.C., she had stopped in Vegas on her way home. Also, the only way I will ever know if this diatribe ever got read in its entirety will be the comments about this paragraph.
To prove how misinformed this poster is, I bet Atlanta & over (55 1/2)
Hoping that the weekend's news concerning Soros will be analyzed before it is reacted to, I remain unabashedly bullish,
