Sure I've heard of private venture financing. And I know that it is very expensive, particularly with regard to loss making development companies such as CELN.

Any private financing will be done via convertible debt, which will crucify holders of ordinary stock. You can bet on it.

I can imagine what would happen to the price if they made the announcement you outlined. I can also imagine what would happen to GM stock if they announced perpetual motion!
