Doug, True the $550 machines of 98/99 have a great deal more power/storage than the $1000 of six years ago. i bought my son a Compaq Contura 3/20 when he went to University and it is gathering dust now. Six years later he needed to replace it. Computers are like cars. you don't see many model T on the Interstates. As technology advances one replaces the old with the new. i think in five years you will be able to talk on the internet to a computer made image of a person and make a reservation or order vitamins, and they could be any shape, colour or creed. However you will need to update you set and CPQ will be right there to sell you one. rs
