I don't have any hard info but I believe the fundamental analysis of my previous post (no 5) on this thread is still valid: serious position in mainframe market + Year 2k issue in financial sector may boost revenues.
It seems that they have again streamlined costs recently by closing some of the national offices in Europe. This may pay off or be short-sighted as the product does not sale easily to CIOs who are sceptical of spectacular productivity gains in the CICS/COBOL environment...Management boards do not invest easily in Mainframe SW either...

Two other questions deserve consideration about the stock value:
1. SPNSF was a very high-flyer that totally blew it a couple of years ago through stupid acquisition + suspicion of very untrue results reporting (class action eventually settled out of Court) and I don't know how Memory lasts on the street.

2. I think lot of stock is still with institutionals (maybe IBM related but I definitely do not know anything for a fact) who had some interest in the technology. They will probably not be in any hurry to cash-in in the short term if it goes up.

SPNSF has become a very confidential company (not even a Web presence) which is odd in IT but again it may be taken as evidence of sound management.

With all the action the price did not move at the end of the day.
Do you see any meaning in this ?
