News for PRFM Perfumania smells success in online store NEW YORK, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Scenting big Valentine's Day sales, perfume store chain Perfumania Inc. <PRFM.O> on Monday launched its Internet store, offering brand name and designer fragrances online. The Miami, Fla.-based company said in early January it planned to go online before the traditional Valentine's Day shopping spree for perfume and after shave. Perfumania gets over 15 million visits a year to its 290 disount retail stores and will cross promote its virtual store through its offline ventures, the company said in a statement. As well as selling perfume through retail outlets, the company distributes its men's and women's fragrances on a wholesale basis to national and regional retail chains in North America and elsewhere.
